About Me
I’m originally from London and after studying Textile Design in Somerset I went on to have a career in fashion. I’m now a full time artist working from my studio a stone’s throw from Hannafore Beach in Looe.
My Work
I’m a mixed media artist which simply means I use a variety of mediums (aka stuff!) in my multi-layered paintings; including collage, paint and dry media like pencil or pastel. My inspiration is Cornwall and the greater South west; it’s coast, landscape, flora and fauna.
In 2022 my work was selected by two prestigious societies for their annual shows, The Royal Watercolour Society where I won the Dry Red Press Award and The Society of Wildlife Artists and in March 2023 I travelled again to the Mall Galleries in London to see my painting hanging in The Royal Society of British Artists’ celebratory bicentennial exhibition. Exciting times!
Where to find me
I am a guest artist with The Polperro Arts Foundation in Polperro where you can see a selection of my work alongside some other wonderful artists and makers or if you would like to come and visit my, messy, working studio please get in touch by email or give me a call. Otherwise you can follow me on Instagram or subscribe to my monthly newsletter on my website to be the first to hear about new paintings and what’s happening in my art world.
