Looe NYE Fireworks Prize Draw 

This is a fabulous opportunity for one family, of up to four, to enjoy a unique experience in Looe for the 6pm family display.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

  1. The Promoter and Organiser
  • The prize draw is promoted on behalf of the Looe NYE Fireworks Team, a not-for-profit organisation based in Looe, Cornwall. All proceeds from this draw will go directly toward funding the Looe New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
  • The draw is organised and administered by Peter Friend Marketing on behalf of the Looe NYE Fireworks Team.

 

  1. Eligibility
  • The prize draw is open to all residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
  • Employees, volunteers, or immediate family members of Peter Friend Marketing or the Looe NYE Fireworks Team who are directly involved in running the draw are not eligible to enter.

 

  1. How to Enter

The prize draw opens at 12:01 AM on 1 October 2026 and closes for all entries on 20 December 2026. There are two ways to enter the draw:

  • Paid Entry Route: Participants can enter online [Insert Link] or in person at designated selling points by paying £5 per entry. There is no limit to the number of paid entries an individual can purchase.
  • Free Postal Entry Route: To enter the draw for free, send your entry by post.
    • Postal entries must include a postcard or a piece of paper enclosed inside a sealed envelope.
    • The entry must clearly state the entrant’s full name, date of birth (DOB), and a contact email address.
    • Postal entries must be sent to the following address:Welcome to Looe & Polperro Information Hub, The Old Sardine Factory Heritage Centre, The Quay, West Looe, Cornwall.
    • Each postal entry counts as one entry into the draw. Multiple free entries are permitted, but each must be posted individually in its own sealed envelope.
  1. Deadlines and Draw Date
  • All entries (both paid and postal) must be received by 11:59 PM on 20 December 2026. Any postal entries received after this date will not be entered into the draw, regardless of the postmark date.
  • The winner will be chosen at random using a verified digital random number generator on 24 December 2026.
  • Free postal entries will be pooled together with paid entries and will have an identical and equal chance of winning.

 

  1. The Prize

There is one prize package available for a family of four or four persons, consisting of:

  • Fish and Chips in Looe to enjoy ahead of the family firework display.
  • £50 cash to spend in Looe.
  • Exclusive access for the four persons to an enclosed area on the seafront to view the fireworks.
  • The unique opportunity for one designated member of the party to press the button to commence the 6pm family display.

 

  1. Winner Announcement and Prize Delivery
  • The winner will be notified via the email address provided at the time of entry within 24 hours of the draw on 24 December 2026.
  • If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize by 11:59 PM on 28 December 2026, the organisers reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner at random from the remaining eligible entries.
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and must be taken on 31 December 2026 for the 6pm display.
  1. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
  • Data Controller: The Looe NYE Fireworks Team is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Peter Friend Marketing acts as the data processor.
  • Purpose of Collection: Any personal data provided by entrants (including name, DOB, and email address) will be collected and processed solely for the administrative purposes of running this specific prize draw and verifying compliance with the 18+ age restriction.
  • Data Retention: Personal data collected via both the paid and postal routes will be kept securely and will be permanently destroyed or deleted within 30 days after the New Year’s Eve event has concluded.
  • Third Parties: Your data will not be shared with any third parties, sold, or used for any unrelated marketing or promotional purposes.
