We can help you explore and learn more about this very special area, which encompasses Looe Island, the seashore from the Hore Stone to the Limmicks and the tidal reaches of the East and West Looe Rivers.

We have grey seals, rare black backed gulls, egrets, herons, oystercatchers and an abundance of anemones, starfish and crabs in our rockpools. The bay is also home to seagrass beds that provide important habitat for fish and other animals, and you may even spot a seahorse if you’re lucky!

Discover More & Get Involved

Visit our website & Facebook page find out more information and to see What’s On. We run a range of activities such as Rockpool Rambles, Crabbing Days, Beach Cleans and various workshops throughout the year.

Look out for the Crabbing Code signs on the quay, which will help you crab responsibly. Also, look out for our Crab Line Recycling Stations along the quay (LMCG is pioneering recycling of used crab lines, working with recyclers to turn them into various products, including kayaks!).

Enjoy our beautiful town, make many memories but leave only footprints.
