About Looe Land Train

Operating between the Millpool Car Park, East Looe Seafront, West Looe Quay & Hannafore – daily from 11am-4pm through the school summer holidays until September 3rd (new schedule will be posted thereafter on the Facebook page).

Tickets from just £2

Tickets start from just £2* per stop – or a Full Tour for £5.

The full tour tickets will provide a hop-on hop-off service, valid for the day of purchase. What’s more – you can enjoy an audio tour along the route too.

The Land Train will be ideal for those who find the walk from the main car park to the seafront a little arduous, in addition to exploring other parts of Looe you may not have discovered before.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are dogs allowed on board?

Yes, friendly dogs can jump on board for a small charge. This is for cleaning purposes and space allocation.

Does the land train have disability access?

Our carriage is currently unable to accommodate wheelchairs. However, our friendly team will be happy to help anyone with mobility difficulties on and off the land train. We can also carry pushchairs and mobility equipment for free.

Can I take my luggage on with me?

We can carry your luggage and beach equipment on the land train for a small charge.

What if it is raining, do you still operate?

We do operate if raining, however we will not operate in extreme weather conditions, we will post any changes to our schedules on our socials.

We are currently obtaining curtains for the back two bench seats for those who wish to shelter a little more from the rain.

Do you have a timetable?

The land train runs on a loop, every full tour takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Why isn’t Looe Land Train electric?

After many years of independent research and advice from our consultant, we discovered that there was no vehicle with the electric technology to handle Looe’s steep hills. The science behind such a vehicle is currently being developed and we are being updated on its progress. We hope to convert to a greener option as soon as it becomes available.

Can you drop me off at my car/hotel?

We have four designated stopping sites that cover a wide range of convient locations. The land train is not permitted to stop anywhere other then these stops but speak to our friendly team to help you find your best drop off location.

How many passenger can you carry?

The land train can carry 20 people, with our Carriage Attendant on board, we can carry 19 passengers.

Do you do private hire for events?

Yes! From weddings, proms, club tours to birthday celebrations, we provide bespoke planning for your event. Contact us today at looeheritagetours@gmail.com to discuss further details.

Do all children pay full price?

All children traveling with an adult will pay just £2, this will allow them a full day of unlimited hop on and hop off travel. Babes in arms are free of charge.
