Welcome to Looe & Polperro is a completely independent website with the sole aim of promoting the two iconic Cornish seaside destinations of Looe & Polperro, as well as the wider area of SE Cornwall, as great places to visit, stay, shop, eat, drink & explore.

The site has been created & curated by myself, Peter Friend, who grew up in Looe. My family have worked either in the fishing or tourism sectors for generations; creating the site is my way of giving something back to the community I hold dear to my heart.

Since its launch at the end of July 2020, the site has been explored by over 90,000 people and our FacebookInstagram pages have in excess of 8,000 followers….. making us the go-to site for those planning a stay in, or visit to, SE Cornwall.

With tourism the main economy of our communities, and one that has been significantly impacted by Covid19, we want to showcase and promote:

Accommodation – from B&Bs to Yurts, Hotels to Self Catering… there is a wonderful array of great places to stay for singles, couples and families;

Shopping – from boutique Cornish crafts to essential holiday supplies; clothing to antiques.. you can shop till you drop as you wander the streets & lanes;

Eating & Drinking – from the finest fresh fish, to the humble pasty; wine bars, to pubs dating back over 500 years – there’s something for all tastes when your’e searching for a perfect place to eat & drink;

Things to See & Do – from lazy sunny days on local beaches, to exploring local attractions; enjoying stunning coastal vistas, to taking part in adventure sports – what will you choose to do during your time in the area & further afield in Cornwall?

Whether you’re visiting for the day, a short break or a week-long holiday, we welcome you to Looe & Polperro and hope that you have a wonderful time with us here in SE Cornwall… and if you are a local business (in one of the above sectors), take a look at how to advertise on the site.
